Delete Your Med Concierge Account & Data

Effective Date: April 30th 2026

Last Updated: April 30th 2026

Med Concierge is a Medicare concierge service operated by 1 World Insurance LLC (NPN: 20116201). This page explains how to delete your account and personal data, what gets removed, and what records we are required to keep.

You can request deletion at any time. There is no fee, and you do not need to give a reason.

1. How to Request Deletion

1.1 From inside the Med Concierge app (recommended — immediate)

  1. Open the Med Concierge app and sign in.
  2. Tap the gear icon in the top right of the home screen to open Settings.
  3. Scroll down to Delete my data.
  4. Confirm the deletion in the prompt.
  5. Your account and personal data are wiped on our servers immediately, and you are signed out of the app on every device.

1.2 By phone

If you cannot sign in to the app, call us at (844) 463-2931, 8 a.m.–8 p.m. local time, 7 days a week. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days.

1.3 By email

You may also email support@medconcierge.com with the subject “Delete my account.” Include the phone number on file so we can verify your identity. Email-requested deletions are processed within 30 days.

2. What Gets Deleted

When you request account deletion, we remove the following from our active systems:

  • Your account profile (name, mailing address, phone number, email, date of birth, plan number)
  • Your Medicare Beneficiary Identifier (MBI) and the hashed lookup value derived from it
  • All medication reminders and dose-adherence history
  • All decoded lab results and After-Visit Summary results, including the source images
  • Appointment requests, transportation requests, and pharmacy-search history
  • Voice questions you asked the in-app assistant (with direct identifiers already scrubbed prior to processing)
  • Health screening responses and visit-preparation sessions
  • Caregiver relationships and consent records you authored
  • Active sessions and all authentication tokens (you are signed out on every device)
  • Push notification tokens for your devices

3. What Is Retained, and Why

Federal law and our regulatory obligations require us to keep certain records even after you delete your account. We keep these in encrypted form, restricted to authorized personnel, and only for the legally required period — after which they are destroyed using industry-standard data destruction methods.

HIPAA audit logs — 6 years

Required by HIPAA §164.530(j). These records show who accessed which health information, and when. Encrypted at rest.

Plan benefit lookups and Medicare-related records — 6 years

Required for Medicare and CMS compliance audits.

Communication logs related to PHI — 6 years

SMS and email records that relate to protected health information are kept for 6 years. Communication logs that are not PHI-related (e.g. general support contacts) are kept for 12 months and then deleted.

Insurance agent-of-record records — per state law

If you were enrolled in a Medicare plan through your assigned licensed insurance agent, certain enrollment records must be retained under state insurance law. Retention periods vary by state but are typically 5–10 years from the end of the policy.

Anonymized analytics — indefinite

De-identified, aggregated data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely for product-improvement purposes.

When you request deletion, we will tell you which records of yours are being retained and which regulatory requirement governs the retention.

4. Timing

  • In-app deletion: Effective immediately. Active data is wiped within seconds; you are signed out on every device.
  • Phone or email deletion: We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days.
  • Confirmation: For phone- and email-requested deletions, you will receive a written confirmation when the deletion is complete, listing what was removed and what (if anything) was retained under a legal requirement.

5. After Deletion

Once your account is deleted:

  • You will not be able to sign in to the Med Concierge app with the same phone number until you re-enroll through your licensed agent.
  • You will stop receiving medication reminders and other in-app notifications.
  • You will not lose Medicare coverage or any benefits under your plan — the app is a tool that helps you use your plan, not the plan itself. Your underlying health insurance is unaffected.
  • Caregivers you previously granted access to your information will lose that access.
